EUDR Initiative

Better Together – The EUDR Initiative of the Print & Publishing Sector

Our Goal: A cross sector communication standard

The European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) is the first law which forces companies across entire supply chains to process product related data. The goal of “Better Together – The EUDR Initiative of the Print & Publishing Sector” is a joint forces approach for a common machine and human readable standard to ensure interoperability of product-related data processing. Thousands of individual EUDR data processing procedures would be a mess for all involved stakeholders. That’s why the Responsible Publishing Net and Initiative Online Print joint forces in spring 2025 with the goal of a collaborative approach and solution for the benefit of all EUDR affected companies across the print and publishing chains.

EUDR-X

EUDR-X has been launched by Initiative Online Print in July 2025 and has been straightaway supported by Intergraf, the European Printers Association, which set the frame for the EUDR-X Launch webinar on 19 Sept 2025.

Our Network

Supporters

The list of supporters has been increasing rapidly since the launch of EUDR-X in summer 2025. We are currently discussing with Cepi, the Confederation of European Paper Industries, about the alignment of EUDR-X and Papinet, the  established data processing standard of the paper industry. The Federation of European Publishers (FEP) has recommended EUDR-X in their EUDR webinar in August 2025 and we are hoping for further support of the EUDR Industry Initiative in 2026.

Participate

All EUDR affected companies across the print and publishing supply chains and beyond are invited to not only use EUDR-X for their EUDR data processing but also to promote the standard by including it into the communication with suppliers, clients and service providers. Don’t miss forthcoming events and the news in our newsletter, if you want to keep on track of the further progress of the EUDR Initiative. The RPN Newsletter will provide information of the progress of the EUDR Industry Initiative and on further events.
